Operating companies who want to move heavy loads in explosion protection areas have two Linde diesel truck models with 5 and 6 t of load capacity at their disposal. The Linde H50 EX and H60 EX trucks are based on the current counterparts from large-scale production and have the same performance data and standards. They also fulfil the EC provisions for use in areas where there is a risk of explosion (EN 1755) for zone 2 and the Atex version has been type-tested in line with 94/9/EC by TÜV Rheinland.
The explosion-protected trucks have a diesel engine that is protected in accordance with EN 1834. The starter motor and alternator are housed in a flameproof enclosure. A heat exchanger to cool the exhaust gases ensures that the gases and the maximum surface temperatures of +200 °C are not exceeded for any components in use at any given time.
