Tank level via data line

The differential pressure and flow meter Media 6 offers gas suppliers and customers a lot of benefits. The measured liquid level of the tank can be displayed directly on site, or it can be transmitted via a communication network to be displayed in the control station or on the supplier’s site. In the control station, the information can then be used for tank monitoring or replenishment logistics. Media 6 includes important features, such as integrated microelectronics to store data of as much as four gas types and the tank geometry. The differential pressure and the stored information are used to calculate the actual tank content which is then displayed as bar graph, and additionally as precise numerical value. Apart from the liquid level, the gauge unit also transmits the periodically collected data on limit values, valve positions and malfunctions via the long-distance data transmission system to the control station. The modular design of the media line allows any combination of valve blocks, operating pressure gauges and limit switches.
