The capacitive fill level sensor consists of V2A/PTFE, and offers optimum resistance to aggressive materials at service temperatures of up to 125 °C. It is simply screwed into the wall of the tank concerned, and sealed by means of an O-ring, enabling it to be retrofitted even at relatively inaccessible locations. Electrical connection is made using a conduit-thread gland and a terminal. Complete electrical protection is provided for the amplifier integrated in the sensor. The sensitivity is adjusted in the terminal housing using a potentiometer, with an LED to indicate the control state. The large adjustment range means that the reliable detection is assured, even with very viscous media like glue, grease, honey, choco-late, paints, etc., without the sensor head being affected by severe soiling and deposits. Another important field of application is the interrogation of plastic granulates.
