High pressure autoclaves

These compact bench top autoclaves are closed with cover clamps and a self-sealing system with a metal C-ring. Applications are catalytic reactions such as hydrogenation, hydro-cracking, oxidation and polymerisation under high temperature and pressure. Pressure may reach 350 bar, temperature 500 °C. Interchangeable autoclave vessels between 0.15 and 2 l realise an economic use of different volumes with the same cover with stirrer, measuring and controlling devices. The electrical heating is controlled by a PID-cascade controller with ramp control. The cascade control uses two thermocouples for measurement of the inside- and the wall-temperature for a precise heating control, minimising temperature overshoots. An optional heating-/ cooling jacket for connection to an oil-heating system is available. The glandless high pressure rotary stirrers with integrated magnetic couplings are equipped with interchangeable stirrer elements or a catalyst basket. Available is an electrical control box with digital indicators, an additional PC-operated data collection system or a PC-operated process control system with remote control of the autoclave, visualisation, data-collection and automatisa-tion of test runs. Special designed autoclaves are available, e.g. with higher operation pressures /temperatures or made of Hastelloy, Inconel, Incoloy, Tantalum or Titanium.
