The re-usable non-invasive pressure safety relief sensor Integral Flo-Tel is particularly suitable for use in harsh process conditions and is designed to instantly send a signal to process control systems when a relief stream bursting disc functions.
Ex-certified to allow use in all levels of potentially explosive atmospheres up to and including zone 0, Integral Flo-Tel’s sensing element is housed within the bursting disc holder and therefore does not need to be replaced after the device operates. A magnetic actuator is attached to a lever integral with the disc. When the disc ruptures, the lever and actuator arc away from their normal position, activating the alarm system. After operation, the bursting disc is the only element that needs replacing.
The integral nature of the design makes Integral Flo-Tel ideal for highly corrosive environments, as the sensor is not in contact with process liquids or gases. This also ensures there is no possibility of leak paths developing, eliminating the possibility of fugitive emissions. The Integral Flo-Tel can operate in temperatures ranging from 40 to 200 °C.
