The Variomag reaction blocks are equipped with a heating and cooling function for fast heating up to +200 °C and – if a cryostat is used – for cooling to -80 °C. Applications like parallel organic synthesis, materials research and automation become easier when using the reaction blocks. They have a wear-free magnetic stirring drive working without any moving parts. At a stirring speed of 100 to 2,000 min-1, up to 96 samples can be stirred simultaneously. The bore holes of the reaction blocks are suitable for standard vessels. The diameter and the depth of the bore holes can also be adjusted to non-standard vessels. The reaction blocks can be controlled either manually directly from a work station or via PC.
