The IBS 24 RFC/486DX/ETH-T remote field controllers are compact, top-hat rail mountable industrial PCs for universal use in machines and systems. The integrated network connection via a twisted pair or AUI (Attachment Unit Interface) ensures the increasingly important Ethernet network capability. With Ethernet and TCP/IP the top-hat rail PCs can be reached via the network, and programming, operation and visualisation are carried out remotely. With the OPC/ Call-R interface, a standardised connection to various visualisation packages is also available via Ethernet. The high-performance 5×86 processor can be programmed in all five IEC 61131 languages and ensures fast processing of the control tasks (bit and word operations take approx. 0.05 µs/ floating-point operations approx. 2 µs). Standardised configuration and programming of the remote field controller is carried out with the automation software PC WorX. The integrated Interbus interface, standardised in accordance with EN 50254, provides for the universal connection of sensors, actuators and field devices. Up to 4096 I/O points can be connected to one controller.
