The Eco range of self-cleaning filters has been engineered to high standards and uses proven filtration technology to provide consistently high product quality and reduced maintenance costs. This range is suitable for processing a wide range of products such as paints and chemicals.
The high-performance filters ensure continuous-flow production. They are compact and fit into existing production lines. A choice of eight different models is available in a range of sizes to meet individual capacity requirements and match specific filtration needs. The Eco in-line filters are easy to install, and are available with a choice of a microscreen or alternatively a wedge wire screen which is designed to meet the requirements of high-volume applications. The original on-line design incorporates the cylindrical, self-cleaning 316 stainless-steel microscreen, which operates according to a flow-through principle and thereby eliminates dead spots, facilitates high-volume production and minimises product loss. The horizontal, self-cleaning filters are compact and ideal for product lines where headroom is limited. Completing the Eco range is a mobile filtration system which is mounted on a trolley for maximum flexibility. The versatile mobile pump and filter system is suitable for multiple filling lines or where quick changes are required.

Reusable microscreens
The microscreen has an aperture size which is defined in two dimensions. These models provide high flow rates and great accuracy and can handle throughputs in excess of 100,000 l/h, keeping pressure build-up to a minimum, even at filtration levels down to an accuracy of 10 µm. Working pressure of 10.5 bar is available. The screens are reusable, permitting substantial cost savings compared with the disposable bags and cartridge filters used in conventional units. The units feature a Q-tap, which minimises product loss and allows product quality to be checked without interrupting production. An important feature of the Eco filter range is the Spiroklene, a spiral assembly which continuously wipes the entire inner surface of the screen in order to positively drive away oversize from the filtration area, thus maintaining a constant flow rate and keeping differential pressures low.
Fast maintenance times
Designed for ease of installation, operation and maintenance, the Eco range is easily dismantled for cleaning. No tools are required for stripping down and product line changeovers can be carried out with minimal delays, resulting in significant savings in both labour and downtimes. Constructed from stainless steel, each filter is totally enclosed to protect products from airborne or other contamination and to safeguard the operator’s health, while the body can also be jacketed to keep the product at the required temperature.
Automation technology
All models can be fitted with a filter management system, which enables solids to be discharged out using a fully automated, actuated valve that eliminates the need for operator involvement and thus further increases efficiency. In addition, a discharge cone agitator can be used to reduce the frequency of oversize discharge and consequently also product loss. This is particularly useful for sticky oversize material. The available options include a choice of an electric drive or air drive for flameproof environments, while a range of units is also offered for operation at temperatures in excess of 200 °C. Pipelines can be supplied in sizes from 10 to 30.
